The Vampires are a family of winged humanoids with thick fur, large ears and a pike-like nose.
There are three vampiric species in Terminus although only two have sapience, these are the Black Lead Vampires and the Venime Vampires, both species are found mostly in the Sigeweard Kingdom, although they can also be found in multiple independent factions scattered throughout the lands of Terminus. The Gunmetal, the other species of feral vampire, are quadrupedal, robust and large in size.

Their slight resemblance to Hominids is not due to having shared ancestors because Vampires belong to an entirely different order but is due to evolutionary convergence.
Their cities and towns are usually found high in the mountains and on dangerous desert cliffs, these places are often difficult to access for non-flying creatures.

Species

Blacklead Vampires

(Vampyrum Frigus) Blacklead Vampires are the most widespread and influential vampiric species in Terminus. They are dark furred humanoids with six limbs, two of which are wings attached to the lower mid-back.

Venime Vampire

(Vampyrum Spectrum) Venime Vampires are Vampires from the deserts of the Venime Desert which gives them their name. They are small in height with long wings in proportion to their body, they usually have short coats of grayish color pinkish to blue.

Gunmetal

(Vampyrum Fortis) The Gunmetal is a wild vampire, they are omnivorous with a preference for sweet red fruits but often attack solitary prey when in groups. They have a quadrupedal posture, perching on their wings to walk in a clumsy manner, although they are not slow.
