Its been a while since my last post but i'm excited to say that i finally have a project in mind that feels feasible to make!
So, i've finally completed a large chunk of the lore for my story, incluiding the main species and the world, having progressed with that i started to think in what direction i could take next;
you'd see, the story i'm making its certainly complex and that's why I started to think, if I want to show the world what I'm creating I have to start with something that draws attention, if I create a comic that exactly shows the reader how the world works it's not fun cuz itll just be another stereotypical fantasy world, so I thought; fuck, maybe I'm stupid but I know how to do many things in the creative field, first: draw, which is what I already master.. i think anyway, second: edit videos, who the hell needs AI? only an idiot, and third, I know how to make animations, well really I remember the basics, but I have the tools and the money to get the programs that i may need.
so the conclusion i've come with is to make an animatic! or at least something similar, well I'm not really sure what to do yet, the other day I saw a video that talked about an analog horror animation of an ugly dog that is in a mirror, the design of that creature was pretty good and that drew me to watch the video and i like it, the story was fine but what surprised me the most is that the video was in Spanish and being narrated for an English audience, honestly i was surprised because it might sound a bit cheesy, but seeing someone who speaks your language create something that reaches so many people inspires you, that's why I go back to the same thing, damn I have to do something with what I know, or else I'm always going to be stuck doing nothing.
In my story i have something called Feralytosis, which is a fictional disease that turns humans in werewolves, and i thought damn maybe that could work, but i dont have experience doing
something as complex like an animatic even so a story that makes sense, so with my newest interest that is writing, i'm starting to make a script for this thing setting up the characters, places and timeline
of events so i can adjust the order so it isnt linear, which is what im aiming for.
now the thing is, do i want to make an analog horror? maybe? idk how honestly but i could try.
Well so what ive worked on is the initial script which is still in very early and what im excited the most is two songs ive made!; well, that is an statement because one of these songs is just a sample
from Gary Newman M.E which was also used for Basement Jaxx - Where's Your Head At which is one of my favorite songs ever anyways, i grabbed the instrumental and did some modifications extending the inital
secuence and then in sony vegas i added some reverb with some static and also slowed certain things and fastened others, the result is something really cool that i will use in an animated secuence.. hopefully.
Ok now that i mentioned that, creating music even if it was sampled really opened my eyes and im now using something called audiotool and yeah i started making my own music, gotta say its super fucking hard but my idea is just make ambiental sounds for this animation so i dont depend on yt audio library, besides using that one sample lol and so i will have complete creative freedom on this project.
So in summary! I'm making an animatic that shows the story of an infected of feralytosis which is a disease I made for my story and therefore making a direct attempt at showing the world and story I'm creating.
Now on another topic that isnt that far off the last one; i started to design the landscape of the world that my story happens on, this earth like planet is called Terminus, which is originally a name i was going to use for a creature but i put it on the planet this story takes place in instead. this place is dry and flat, with the ocasional patch of trees around, so i made the next concept landscape to show how it looks!
Its based on some pictures i took of where i live and think it looks nice. I hope i can make more soon, i have many ideas i want to make and i'm finally excited for my journey next year.
