Memorial to my cats
Currently i have two beautiful cats, Melody and Luna!
They're my babies and i love them so much, Melody was adopted in December 2022 and Luna was adopted recently
after i rescued her from a unsafe enviroment.
I've had more cats before tho, sadly i lost them for different reasons, so in this page i will talk about them
and the memories i have of them, with a bit of personal vent.
Lino
In early 2021 i had finally convinced my parents to adopt a cat, My mom saw an add in facebook giving two
kitties in adoption, an orange and a stripped grey kitten, once i saw Lino he looked extremely silly and small
in contrast to his orange brother that looked more grown up, i had no option but to choose him althought sometimes
i wish i could had taken both of them... anyways, Lino was sweet and loving but only to me which was funny,
everyone else in my family thought he was a grumpy or even aggresive, but i know he wasnt that way, even if my
time with him was relatively short, i'm happy with all my memories i have of him, i remember he used to extend
his arms to me when i was picking him up, as if he was giving me a hug!
But Lino always wanted to explore and go out, i never wanted that to happen as where i live,
theres some awful people put venom in cats food, Lino managed to escape a few times because i was at my
school and my parents weren't paying attention leaving the door open but i always found him
hidden behind rubbish, until i didn't.
Due to some issues between my dad and my mom, he stopped caring about us and therefore my cat,
he would go out and repair his old car, leaving the door open, my cat who was curious left one
day, since then i have never seen him again. i tried to search for him, i offered a reward but
he was gone, i miss him dearly.
As a sorry gift from my dad, he gave me my sweet Melody, i love her but i will miss my baby Lino
forever.
Kuromi
Before i had adopted Luna, my grandmother's cat gave birth to a litter of cats, my sweet Kuromi was born in this litter,
i took care of her whilst she gained enough strength to be able to be adopted, at that time Melody was 1 year old so she
was still a kitty, not that it will always be one to me, so they used to play alot, but Melody has always been cautious
and motherly to any kitten and Kuromi was not an exception, Melody used to groom Kuromi everytime he could, and when Kuromi
grew more and was her same size, she would get angry at Melody and fought each other, they were playing of course.
Behind my appartment there's an open space connected to the appartment behind ours, Kuromi was really curious, she liked to
climb up and observe the other side, i always caught her in the act and scare her off, until i wasn't there in time.
Sadly, on the 28th of April, one week before her first birthday, she climb off once again but never came back, i asked my neighboors,
this appartment isn't occupied most of the time, but the daughter of the owner was living there, i know it, she could've seen my sweet Kuromi,
but they denied even seen her at all, i never saw my kitten again, i offered a reward, i searched everywhere i could... i even
used to call her at night in the same place she used to climb off, hoping she would respond with her raspy meows like she
used to, but never happened, never did.
i will miss her dearly, my sweet Kuromi, my sweet Melody misses you as well. she used to wait for her in my bed as they both
slept with me.
And yes, they matched names and collars :,)
Estrella
TW: kitten death, mention of blood
My lovely Estrella, i rescued her from the same place i rescued Luna, and yes, their names matched as well... Estrella
was shy but full of love, i like to say that my cats are sisters, but Estrella and Melody acted more as a
daughter and a mother, Melody would groom and sleep with Estrella, whislt Estrella tried to find a nipple when she was cuddling
Melody.
i'm sure she was separated from her mother at an early age, as she was small and thin, more than her sisters in the place i found
her, she was separated from the other adult cats and kittens, i remember clearly giving them some cat food, they would all rush
to it and fight for it, and my poor, poor Estrella couldn't get a taste, when i took her i gave her a warm bath, gave her food
and presented her to my other cats, like i said before, Melody is so fond of other kittens, she took her in as soon as she meet her for
the first time, and Luna played with her a few times, they were a small family.
Estrella lived with me and her sisters for a few weeks, i cherish these moments alot, i will always remember her, fondly.
On the 29th of August 2024, Estrella was just a kitten when she caught an awful infection that took her life really soon and unexpectly, i didn't even had the chance to bring her to a vet, she died at night, she had pooped blood and was sleeping like an angel, forever young, Melody gave her a kiss before i buried her.
